All of a sudden there is a flurry of activities at my home.
From flight bookings to hotel reservations, everyone is moving swiftly as happens when programs are finalised at the spur of the moment. But that is what elevates the excitement and fun manifold!
The reason — heading to Mumbai to watch the smash hit musical ‘Mamma Mia’, being staged in the Grand Theatre of the NMACC auditorium.
We had hoped to see Broadway musicals while in New York but were unable to do so due to our busy schedule. Finally, our wishes were coming true!
Remarkably, such shows are now being brought to India, taking entertainment to the next level.
Though this program was a quick decision, but was made only after checking all the work and study schedules and getting the green signal from everyone. Although the schedule was tight, but anything for Mamma Mia.
A Mega Extravaganza
Flying to Mumbai to watch the mega show, that too in the premium Diamond box was sheer luxury. The regular tickets were sold out, and it was a valid reason to choose the high-end Diamond tickets. Thankfully, we were just in the nick of time — it was the last day of the show. It was pure joy!
The trip was worth every penny. Not only was the glitz and glamor of the opulent, auditorium dazzling. The plush suite reserved for Diamond box ticket holders where they could relax, and enjoy exotic welcome drinks and snacks, coupled with an extra dash of VIP treatment was mesmerizing.
This super duper dance drama is based on songs by the renowned musical group ABBA including `Dancing Queen’, `Super Trouper’, `Honey, Honey’, and many more. The Daily Telegraph has quoted it as “ Ridiculously enjoyable”; while Classic FM labels it as “ The ultimate feel-good show”.
The vibrant, wholesome family entertainer was outstanding, from the first scene to the last! It had everything — catchy music, dances, acting, emotions, amazing sets and costumes.
One of the longest-running shows at London’s West End, `Mamma Mia’ tells a tale of love and friendship. It’s a heartwarming story of a mother and daughter set in the idyllic Greek islands, where the sun always shines.
If given a chance, do watch it, and celebrate the power of love and music !!
