Finally, I am inching back to writing after a bout of illness for the past 5 days. There are certain forces beyond your control.

As much as we talk about consistency and perseverance, there are certain happenings in life that are beyond our control and are unavoidable.

Before the month of October commenced, I had chalked out a plan that,

“I will write at least 12 articles this month for medium”.

I am not the sort of person who would overestimate or be overconfident and state that I will do more than that.

Setting realistic goals is my forte.

I was well on track and was sure to succeed in my endeavor….. but just as I completed my 9th article, and stepped into the last week of October. Phut! All my well-laid plans were thrown into disarray by an unexpected and absolutely uninvited bug infestation.

The repercussion: Appetite and energy vanished. Sleep overpowered me.

Prioritizing our health is vital, and taking adequate rest is necessary to recover from an illness.

But, getting back to work as quickly as possible not only helps in physical recovery but also contributes to an overall sense of well-being including mental wellness too. Though this may be challenging and not very easy, but is crucial.

“In the midst of chaos, there is also an opportunity” — Sun Tzu

The act of writing itself serves as a form of therapy, it’s about keeping our minds engaged during such times to bounce back smoothly.

However, that doesn’t mean that you strain yourself. Do as much as possible, in a relaxed manner.

Secondly, the constant support and motivation from my husband and children kept the writing passion ignited within me.

So here I am folks, wish me luck that November sees my dreams and determination are on track, and align with my expectations.
