I had to stop everything mid-way (I mean, writing the other medium articles) and talk about hitting the milestone of 200 followers. Somehow I was busy doing other stuff when I reached 100 followers, so missed writing about it.
Not that this is the greatest accomplishment that I ought to share; to some extent, it is ….….but moreso because it’s been a while since I posted an update about my progress on Medium.
It’s a mixed feeling—true, I am elated, but haven’t yet achieved what I had set out to! Being an optimist, hoping for a steady win... in the due course of time.
There are times when we feel that we are not receiving as much as we are giving. But that’s a part of any path you choose in life. Once you decide to follow it, you need to have patience and continue to strive until you reach your goals.
After 82 posts, 203 followers, and a spike in interactions with other writers, I am glad that I am enjoying this journey, which is perhaps more important than concerns about reaching the destination!
What’s the latest Achievement?
- Having some of the highly-rated writers notice, like, and comment on your posts is such a humbling gesture and a great encouragement. It means a lot for aspiring writers.
Isn't it a healthy competition where we get to learn from each other?
- I am grateful to people who not only appreciate my stories but also add them to their publications. It boosts my morale!
- I am reading more and gaining insights about a lot of things.
- I look forward to browsing my Medium page. The green numbers at the right-hand corner, displaying the growing number of notifications at the bell icon is the first thing I notice. I love checking them out first, as it makes me feel motivated and connected.
Every writer here has a unique trajectory—some are ahead, others not so. The key is acceptance and inspiration for which I am thankful to Medium from the bottom of my heart.
